MCAT Test

The objective of this scholarship is to stimulate the study of the medical career in Puerto Rico. The scholarship consists of financial aid to defray the costs of the MCAT and part of the costs of a course to prepare to take the referred exam. 

The Foundation will award three (3) scholarships of $2,000 each until the available funds are exhausted, reaching $6,000 by the year 2024.

Requirements to apply

  • Complete your baccalaureate during the academic year following the one you take the MCAT exam.
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.50.
  • Present a letter of recommendation from a professor of one of your science classes during your baccalaureate.
  • Demonstrate financial need.
  • Submit an essay explaining how important a medical career is to you.
  • Been your first time having the MCAT exam and must be taken on or after July 1st of 2024.

How to apply?

The request is made electronically and the opening is between March 1 and April 30 of each year.

Scholarship evaluation

  • Only complete applications will be evaluated by the Scholarship Committee. That includes those that have sent all the information as detailed in “Requirements to apply”.
  • The Scholarship Committee of Fundación Intellectus will evaluate the applications and make recommendations to the Board of Directors of the Institution for your ratification.
  • The Foundation will notify applicants of the acceptance or denial of the scholarship on or before June 30th of each year.
