MD-PHSU

The purpose of this scholarship is to financially assist talented students to complete their medical degree at Ponce Health Sciences University. Two (2) scholarships of $22,500, each awarded for tuition payment. It will be distributed between the two semesters of the academic year.

REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY

  • Being a new Admission Student
  • Being a resident or born in Puerto Rico and that at least one of your parents is Puerto Rican.
  • Maintain a minimum academic average of 3.80.
  • Maintain a minimum SGPA average of 3.80.
  • Submit MCAT evidence (minimum 500).
  • Submit evidence of the successful admission at Ponce Health Sciences University.
  • Being interviewed by the Intellectus Foundation Scholarship Committee.
  • Submit most recent credit transcript.
  • Submit Curriculum Vitae.

HOW TO APPLY?

The request is made electronically and the opening is between March 1 and April 30 of each year.

SCHOLARSHIP EVALUATION

  • Only complete applications will be evaluated by the Scholarship Committee. That includes those that have sent all the information as detailed in “Requirements to apply”.
  • The Foundation’s Scholarship Committee will interview the students, evaluate their merits and make recommendations to the Board of Directors of the Institution for your ratification.
  • The Foundation will notify the acceptance or denial of the scholarship to the applicants on or before July 30th of each year.
