Science Camp

The objective of this scholarship is to stimulate the study of health sciences in undergraduate students in Puerto Rico.

The scholarship consists of financial aid to pay part, or all, of the camp for which the student is applying. The amount of aid awarded will depend on the cost of the camp up to a maximum cap of $500. This includes virtual camps.

The Foundation may award four (4) or more scholarships until the available funds are exhausted, reaching $2,000 by the year 2024.

Requirements to apply

  • Been a public school student in grades 9-12.
  • Maintain a minimum academic average of 3.50.
  • Present a letter of recommendation from one of your science teachers.
  • Demonstrate financial need.
  • Describe two (2) science projects in which you have participated before.
  • Submit an essay explaining how your participation in science camp will help you in your future studies.
  • Submit information about the camp you want to attend.

How to apply?

The request is made electronically and the opening is between March 1 and April 30 of each year.

Scholarship evaluation

  • Only complete applications will be evaluated by the Scholarship Committee. That includes those that have sent all the information as detailed in “Requirements to apply”.
  • The Scholarship Committee of Fundación Intellectus will evaluate the applications and make recommendations to the Board of Directors of the Institution for your ratification.
  • Fundación Intellectus will notify the acceptance or denial of the scholarship to the applicants on or before June 30th of each year.
